Amy E. Kaszak is the President, Special Needs Plans for AllyAlign Health. As AllyAlign Health’s second employee, Amy helped shape the company’s strategy of empowering long-term care providers to change the financial incentives and care models for vulnerable populations. Amy oversees all partner relationships, clinical operations, business development, and sales and marketing activities of the company.
Amy’s experience with innovative care models began in the mid-1990s when she helped organize one of the first hospitalist companies in the country, Intercede Health (formerly Inpatient Medical Services). Based in Houston, Texas, the company built and operated Hospitalist networks for CIGNA, Humana, Pacificare, and Heritage, and NAMM IPAs and, as payment models shifted, later partnered with hospitals across the country to implement Hospitalist and SNFist practices. Amy helped pioneer the concept of the high-risk medical home, co-authoring a 1997 article that coined the term “Extensive” to describe an outpatient physician focused on complex, chronic condition patients.
Amy earned her B.A. degree from Baylor University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She currently lives in Houston, Texas.
